" The only thing I can say about my visit to China House is that it was a huge letdown. The food tasted old, and the veggies in my stir-fry were limp and greasy. It felt like I was eating leftover food. I didn’t experience any welcome from the staff, making things even more awkward. I have no plans to return, and I wish I’d spent my money somewhere else. " After reading mixed reviews about China House, I was hesitant, but decided to give it a try anyway. I ordered the hot and sour soup and the kung pao chicken. The soup had a delightful kick to it, but sadly, the chicken dish was below par. The chicken was chewy and lacked any spice or flavor. The decor is outdated and the cleanliness of the seating area could use improvement. Honestly, I think it’s a place that needs better overall management to elevate its status in the community. " I stopped by China House while I was out exploring the town, but it didn't hold up to my expectations. My egg drop soup was overly salty while my main dish of kung pao chicken had just a few peanuts and too much sauce. I don’t think I’ll be returning unless I hear that they’ve improved. The staff were okay, but it seems that they are let down by the quality of the kitchen. It felt like wasted money and a waste of my time. Definitely will not be recommending it to friends and family. " I really wanted to like China House, especially after hearing that it’s the only Chinese restaurant in Dunnellon. However, my dinner experience was frankly disappointing. The sweet and sour pork tasted sickly sweet and artificial, moving far away from what I remember traditional Chinese food to be. I could barely finish my meal. " I was optimistic visiting China House due to its convenient location, but my meal was rather disappointing. The General Tso's chicken was extremely dry and lacked the spicy flavor you'd expect from the dish. The rice served was bland and undercooked. The server was courteous and quick to take our order but it wasn’t enough to salvage the experience. I remain unimpressed overall, and I can't recommend this restaurant based on my experience.
