This restaurant is noted for its affordable dining options and is praised for its authentic Mexican dishes. It offers a variety of popular items, but some customers reported inconsistencies in food quality and seasoning. While the atmosphere and service have received an adequate response, improvements in flavor and fresh ingredients would enhance the dining experience significantly.

" I've been coming to Salitre for years and I’ve seen the ups and downs. There was a time when it served what I considered the best tacos I’ve ever had. But recently, I noticed a drop in quality. My latest visit had me ordering the burrito, which was unfortunately bland and lacked seasoning. On the bright side, the prices are still reasonable, and the staff remains consistently pleasant and accommodating. While I’ll always have a soft spot for this place, I'm hoping they can get back to their original roots and bring back that authentic taste! " (*Curated Review*)
" My friends and I decided to try out Salitre after one of them found great online reviews. I was excited, but honestly, my tacos were kind of greasy with little character. I couldn't finish them as they left an odd aftertaste. The ambiance didn't help much either, felt a bit cramped. Nevertheless, the service was polite and swift, so kudos to them for that! Maybe the other menu items are better? I wouldn’t hurry back for tacos though. " (*Curated Review*)
" Salitre is a little restaurant that shouldn’t be overlooked! The first time I went there, it was a bit of a spontaneous decision since we were nearby. I ordered the steak tacos and they were loaded with flavor, and the portions are generous. Also, I loved how fresh the ingredients tasted. The ambiance was casual, perfect for a quick bite. The service was friendly and prompt, which was a nice surprise. I would definitely recommend Salitre if you're in the area and craving authentic Mexican food at a great price! " (*Curated Review*)
" I wasn't going to rate this place severely, but after my last visit, I felt compelled. Don’t get me wrong, the service was friendly, but the food was rather disappointing. The tacos I ordered tasted old, and there was an overall lack of attention to detail. I often will come back to give places another chance, but this one will be hard to justify. I like tasty Mexican food and this just wasn't it for me. Let’s hope they turn it around. " (*Curated Review*)
" Tacos from Salitre are always a treat. I enjoyed taking my family there last week. They had an array of options, from burritos to tortas, and everything we tried was bursting with flavor. The staff was also incredibly accommodating and friendly to our two little ones. The cleanliness was also notable, which I appreciated. I feel like I could eat here every week without a complaint! Keep up the great work, Salitre! " (*Curated Review*)
" I visited Salitre for lunch with a group of friends last weekend. The vibe was great, and I loved their colorful decor! The pricing is very reasonable for the quantity you receive. I had the steak burrito, and what I appreciated the most was the generous portion. However, I felt like the flavor was lacking; it definitely could've been spiced better. Overall, a good experience—but I would suggest trying something other than the burrito for better taste! " (*Curated Review*)
" There are better Mexicans spots out there, but Salitre has its charm. The best part was the $1 taco special on Tuesdays! The al pastor tacos were decent, and I got my fill without breaking the bank. The ambiance is more laid back - nothing fancy but very homely. However, I've tasted better seasoning in tacos before. If you're looking for a quick meal and are on a budget, definitely give them a shot, just don't expect gourmet! Maybe stop in if you're in the mood for nostalgia rather than a genuine culinary experience. " (*Curated Review*)
