" What a hidden gem! Sakesan had the most vibrant sushi rolls and a huge variety that made it hard to pick just a few. They had an incredible happy hour special that included $1 oysters and $5 sake, making our night even better. The atmosphere had a nice blend of modern and traditional Japanese decor, creating a fantastic dining experience. We ended up ordering for takeout on another night, and the food was just as good! " I came here after hearing a lot of buzz about their sushi and was excited to try it. The restaurant itself was beautifully designed, but unfortunately, the food didn't serve up the hype. The sushi didn’t taste fresh and felt a bit unauthentic compared to places I've been to in Japan. The service was decent, but I expected more attentiveness for the price point. I might consider other sushi spots in the area. " (*Curated Review*)
" I indulged in a delightful omakase experience at Sakesan, and I have to say, I was thoroughly impressed. The chef prepared a series of intricate dishes with fresh ingredients, reflecting authentic Japanese culinary techniques. It made for a wonderful evening filled with culinary surprises. However, the portion sizes were on the smaller side, especially for the price. But when the flavors are this good, it's hard to complain too much! " (*Curated Review*)
" An excellent place for sushi lovers! I went with a group, and we shared several rolls and hot dishes. The highlight was definitely the tuna sashimi—so fresh and high quality. While I found the service to be friendly, it did take some time between courses, which slightly put a damper on the experience. However, we'd ordered quite a lot, so that might have contributed to the delay. Overall, I recommend it! " (*Curated Review*)
" Tried Sakesan for the first time, and it felt like a little slice of Japan in San Francisco! The sushi was unlike anything I've had before—authentic, beautifully presented, and tasted amazing. The staff was friendly, but it was busy, so we had to wait for quite a while to be seated. The portions were decent, but I recommend ordering a few extra rolls just in case! Overall, a fantastic dining experience. " (*Curated Review*)
" Visited Sakesan last weekend and was not disappointed. The sushi rolls we tried were all flavorful and fresh, especially the Dragon Roll. The negative was the small portion sizes — I found myself wanting more after the meal. Service was friendly, but it took a while to get our drinks. Still, I'd come back for the food.
