" Overall, my visit to Russell Preno's felt average. The atmosphere was comfortable but the food didn’t seem to have the depth of flavor I was hoping for. My chicken fettuccine alfredo lacked that rich creaminess one would expect from Italian cuisine. The service was decent, though I did experience a bit of delay when my dessert took longer than anticipated. So while I enjoyed the relaxed environment, the food left me wanting more. I'd be open to trying a different dish next time I visit. " (*Curated Review*)
" Hands down, one of the best Italian restaurants I’ve been to lately! I loved the chicken marsala; it was rich and flavorful and cooked perfectly. The staff were attentive and our drinks were always filled without having to ask. The ambiance was charming with Italian decor everywhere which set the perfect mood. After dining, I was stuffed, the portion sizes were generous compared to some higher-end places. My friends and I definitely plan to return! Highly recommend for anyone! " (*Curated Review*)
" I tried Russell’s for the first time and I'm conflicted about my experience. The food was good, but I didn't find it to have the authentic Italian flair I was hoping for. My pasta was well-cooked, but the sauce seemed a bit bland compared to my expectations. The staff were friendly and polite, but at times seemed overwhelmed, leading to longer wait times between courses. I left satisfied but still yearning for that robust Italian flavor. I believe this restaurant has potential, and I might give it another shot in the future to try other dishes. " (*Curated Review*)
" After hearing about Russell’s for ages, I finally got the chance to try it out and, safe to say, I was not disappointed! From the moment we stepped in, the ambiance made us feel at home. The garlic bread was delicious and our main courses didn’t take long to arrive. I had the lasagna and it was beautifully layered, and bursting with flavors. Service was excellent and we were checked on consistently without feeling rushed. I will definitely recommend Russell's to my friends, and absolutely plan to return soon! " (*Curated Review*)
" As a newbie to the Italian dining scene, Russell Preno’s was highly recommended by a friend. The food was reasonably good, but the pasta I ordered felt slightly overcooked and the sauce was a bit too salty for my taste. The staff was accommodating and friendly, always showing diligence in their work, but maybe my expectations were too high. Overall, I had a pleasing experience but was left wanting more. It’s a nice cozy location which is a plus for dining with friends. I might try the place again to explore more dishes. " (*Curated Review*)
" Wow! What a fantastic place! This was my first time at Russell Preno’s and I was thoroughly impressed. The service staff welcomed us genuinely and recommended their favorites. The pasta was rich with flavor; I had the vodka sauce with homemade pasta—very fresh and delightful. I’d recommend this place to anyone in Scranton looking for quality Italian food. The only downside was the wait, which was longer than expected, but the quality of the food made it worthwhile! I can’t wait to return! " (*Curated Review*)
" An amazing dining experience from start to finish! The appetizers were fantastic; we had bruschetta that was fresh and flavorful. For my entrée, I chose the chicken piccata, which was tender and perfectly seasoned. I enjoyed the ambiance, perfect lighting and attention to detail created a fantastic dining environment. The service was caring and involved. I left highly satisfied and can’t express enough how much I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for authentic Italian cuisine in a welcoming atmosphere. " (*Curated Review*)
