" Disappointing experience at El Tacaso. I had high hopes based on the recommendations but the tacos were not up to par. The carne asada tacos were tough and lacked flavor. They skimped on the toppings, too – just a few onions and cilantro. The atmosphere isn’t much either, as it feels very basic with nowhere to sit. I wouldn’t mind the lack of seating if the food were good, but I left feeling unsatisfied. I might give it another chance since my friends love it, but this visit was not good at all. " I had a terrible experience last night. I ordered four different types of tacos and was so disappointed. The corn tortillas were soggy, the flavors were bland, and some tacos had pieces of gristle. For the price, I expected much better. There was a long wait, and when I finally got my order, the staff seemed disinterested in helping. I really wanted to love this place because of all the hype, but I won't be returning anytime soon. " (*Curated Review*)
" After visiting a few times, I realized the tacos can be hit or miss. I loved the carnitas tacos, but the last time I tried the chorizo ones, they weren't that flavorful. It might depend on who's cooking that day, which is a bit frustrating. Also, the service can vary – I was almost ignored when ordering, but they were nice once I got my food. I want to like this place more since they have potential, but a bit more consistency would be great! " (*Curated Review*)
" Ordered the breakfast tacos on a weekday morning, and wow, what a find! My eggs were fluffy, the tortillas were fresh, and they weren’t stingy with the ingredients. The salsa verde was a great touch! I loved the vibrant flavors that shined through every bite. The service was quick, and even though it’s a take-out only spot, they have a nice little outdoor seating area nearby. A bit lacking in atmosphere, but who cares when the tacos are this good? I can see why this place has such a following. Just don’t forget to tip the hardworking ladies in the window! " (*Curated Review*)
" Each time I visit, I'm always welcomed with a smile and the food is reliably delicious. The tacos here taste incredibly authentic — you can tell they use quality ingredients. The prices are also very reasonable, so it's a good deal for either a quick lunch or a late-night snack. I particularly like their chicken tacos, and I’ll keep recommending this place to my friends! " Holy guacamole! I have never tasted better al pastor tacos. Seriously, the flavors are incredible, and each bite transports me to Mexico! The ingredients taste fresh, and the portion sizes are perfect! I’ve been to countless taco joints, and while El Tacaso may be small, the quality is second to none. The service is a bit on the slower side, but with tacos this good, it is absolutely worth the wait! I highly recommend trying their tacos loaded with their spicy salsa. " (*Curated Review*)
" I recently discovered this taco stand and it has quickly become one of my favorites! Everything has been delicious. The brisket tacos are out of this world – super tender, well-seasoned, and just what I needed after a long night out. Plus, they’re served with a fresh homemade sauce that adds to the flavor without overpowering the meat. It's also a great price for the quality you get. The only drawback is they don't offer many drink options, so I usually grab a soda from the store next door. But for tacos, this place is a hidden treasure. Definitely will be back soon!
