Da Gama Canteen offers a vibrant atmosphere with a unique fusion of Indian and Portuguese cuisines. However, some diners have noted a mixed sense of authenticity in the dishes, despite the beautiful presentation and generally high quality. While many customers appreciate the fusion flavors and diverse menu, there are concerns about dish execution consistency and the culinary authenticity, especially for traditional Indian and Portuguese dishes.

" I liked my visit to Da Gama. The vibrancy of the place is refreshing, with an exciting menu to explore. The Piri Piri Chicken was my favorite due to its bold flavor. The seating was comfortable, and I appreciated the clean aesthetics of the restaurant. However, I do wish they had larger portion sizes for the price. Overall, I would definitely recommend it for anyone looking to dive into a unique dining experience! Posting time: 2024-02-28 19:58:10 " (*Curated Review*)
" Da Gama is undoubtedly one of the more interesting restaurants in town! The look is unmistakably modern, and the fusion menu pulls you in. The Crab Pani Puri I had was remarkable, bursting with flavors! Yet, I found their lamb curry to be quite on the oily side, detracting a bit from my meal. Nonetheless, the friendly service and atmosphere kept the experience enjoyable. I would likely visit again to try more dishes! Posting time: 2024-02-14 20:04:35 " (*Curated Review*)
" I recently had dinner at Da Gama, and I left feeling mixed about the experience. On one hand, the decor is stunning; very modern and vibrant. We ordered several dishes, including the Piri Piri Chicken, which was decent but not quite as spicy as I'd hoped. The service was good, but our waitress didn’t know much about the menu, which was a bit disappointing. We enjoyed the Goan Fish Curry, with a bright tartness I loved. The portion sizes, however, seemed small for the price. That said, I might give this place another chance, hoping for improvements in service and authenticity. " Wow, what an experience at Da Gama! The restaurant has a fantastic buzz with a modern take on Indian fare. We tried most of their specialties like the mussels and lamb, everything was spectacular. The desserts were delightful, especially the mango ice cream! The only slip was that the service was a little slow even though the staff was very friendly. Still, it didn't ruin our experience as the food itself was worth it. Definitely returning soon! Posting time: 2024-01-30 20:29:32 " (*Curated Review*)
" Da Gama offers a brilliant selection of food that marries Indian and Portuguese influences quite well. The small plates style makes them perfect for sharing, and I loved sampling a variety of dishes! My favorites were the spicy chicken kebabs and the flavorful curry dishes. While I found the service to be nice, it was a bit slow during peak hours, and I had to ask several times for a drink refill. The ambiance was great, creating a perfect backdrop for a fun dinner with friends. I’ll be back to indulge in more of their enticing dishes! Posting time: 2024-02-15 18:45:38 " (*Curated Review*)
" My dining experience at Da Gama was solid! The atmosphere is chic, and they really have an artistic take on presentation. I really enjoyed their vegetarian options, particularly the Chana Masala which burst with flavor. The staff was attentive and friendly throughout the evening. My only qualm was with the portion sizes; I felt they were a bit small for the price, especially since we came hungry after a long day! Nonetheless, I left satisfied and definitely plan to return. " Had a nice dinner at Da Gama! Perfect spot for gatherings with friends. The decor adds to the ambiance. We ordered several tapas dishes to share. The Crab Pani Puri and the peri peri chicken were excellent! However, I wouldn’t say the same for the Saag Paneer, which was quite bland. Service was alright but they seemed distracted. My main takeaway is that I enjoyed the food, but the place does seem to be a bit overhyped. I’d be curious about coming back with a smaller group to give it another try.
