" Finally gave La Mesa a shot after hearing great things. Was greeted warmly upon entry. The environment feels lively with colorful decor and ambient music, making for a pleasant dining experience. " It's hard for me to rate La Mesa because I've had mixed experiences. The first time I came, I was blown away by how good the carne asada was! It was juicy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. However, during my last visit, I ordered the same thing, and it was undercooked. I spoke with the manager, who was very apologetic and offered to replace it, but overall, the inconsistency is a concern. The atmosphere is always lively and welcoming, so I am torn about how to feel. The service team does what they can to make the experience pleasant. I hope my next visit will be up to par. " This restaurant had been on my radar for some time, and I finally visited. What an experience! Upon arrival, the staff welcomed us warmly, and the interior was inviting with bright colors and interesting artwork! We ordered shrimp fajitas and a veggie burrito. The shrimp was perfectly spiced, though I wish the burrito had a bit more flavor. The portion sizes were generous, and we couldn't finish everything.
