" I visited Hunan based on a friend's recommendation with high hopes. Unfortunately, the food fell flat for me. The lo mein tasted off, almost as if it was past its prime. I was also disappointed that the crab rangoons were overly greasy without much filling. The ambiance felt hurried as the staff seemed overwhelmed. I likely won’t be back for a while. " I came to Hunan not knowing what to expect since I had heard both good and bad about it. I can say my experience was firmly in the positive camp. I ordered the spicy tofu and added a side of egg drop soup. Both were flavorful, and the tofu had a great texture to it. The service was a bit slow, but they were friendly and helpful. " I recently tried Hunan Chinese Restaurant and I must say, it was quite an experience. I ordered the Kung Pao chicken and it really did not meet my expectations. The dish was bland and lacked that kick of flavor typically associated with this dish. My friend, who ordered sweet and sour shrimp, said it was decent but nothing to write home about. Service was okay, but definitely could be improved as we had to wait a while for our food. Overall, I would say it was a mediocre experience and I probably won’t be returning anytime soon. " Disappointing food quality compared to previous visits. I ordered the beef chow mein which tasted like it had been overcooked and lackluster seasoning. " I came to Hunan for a quick dinner during my lunch break. I had a dinner combo and got a bit annoyed at how slow the service was. The chicken teriyaki was perfectly grilled but the accompanying rice was mediocre. A little improvement in timing would have made the meal much better.
