" Citronnelle blew my expectations away! I recently dined here for a special birthday dinner, and every dish was a masterpiece. We started with the crab croquettes, and they were perfectly crispy and filled with rich crab flavor. For my main course, I tried the fish du jour which was expertly cooked with just the right seasoning — so fresh! The only downside was the slightly high corkage fee for BYOB, but that didn’t overshadow the wonderful time we had. The ambience was romantic, very fitting for celebrating. " Citronnelle is undoubtedly one of the best places in Lancaster for French cuisine. Each dish is a work of art both in presentation and flavor. I particularly loved the buttery hanf, la foie gras & tartare, which was some of the best I've had outside France. The service was friendly yet professional, making the dinner a splendid affair. " Buttery croissants and decadent desserts stole the show for me at Citronnelle. The seasonal menu is like stepping into a Parisian hideaway with each plate promising an incredible dining experience. I was delighted with the new takes on classics! The staff were lovely and truly made the difference in our evening — their enthusiasm for each dish was evident. However, I do wish the entrees came in slightly larger portions for the price, though. For the dessert, the heady chocolate soufflé topped my night; it was melt-in-your-mouth perfection! " For my first visit to Citronnelle, I was excited but left a bit disappointed. The atmosphere was nice but I expected more in terms of authenticity, especially considering it’s labeled French. I tried the duck and fig bistaya, and while it was decent, it didn’t impress me enough to rave about it. The service was friendly, but I felt somewhat neglected at times. For dessert, we had the chocolate soufflé which was delightful. Overall, it may deserve another visit to try different dishes, but my first experience only showed me there's room for improvement.
