" I've been on the hunt for authentic Vietnamese food since moving to San Diego, and Saigon Star did not disappoint! The pho was rich and flavorful, it's honestly the best I've had here so far. I particularly loved their rare beef which was tender and juicy. The atmosphere was cozy, and the service was prompt, even during the busy lunch hour. I will definitely be returning soon! " The experience was disappointing. I found hair in my food, and when I brought it to the attention of the manager, he seemed indifferent, which really put a damper on the meal. After that, the enthusiasm of the staff had less of an impact. The price was acceptable, but the quality has a long way to go. I don't think I’ll be returning any time soon. " (*Curated Review*)
" I went into Saigon Star hoping to find a new favorite Vietnamese place, but I left a bit disappointed. The pho I ordered was lacking depth of flavor and felt more like broth than anything else. The complimentary tea was a nice touch, though, and the ambiance is warm and inviting. If food quality improves, I might consider giving it a second chance. " (*Curated Review*)
" What an amazing spot! The staff here are incredibly friendly, and the ambiance really contributes to a great dining experience. The beef pho is a must-try; it was flavorful with the right amount of spice. I appreciated the generous portions and quick service. I'll be coming back for sure, maybe to try out their other dishes that you hear so much about! " (*Curated Review*)
" I used to love this place, but the last few visits have left me feeling disappointed. The noodle bowls seemed under-seasoned, and the spring rolls were a little stale. Service was stretch thin, and it took a long time for our orders to come out. I hope they return to the quality I remember. I’ll give it one more shot in a few months! " (*Curated Review*)
" We stopped by for a quick meal during a busy Saturday. While the food was decent, I found my chicken curry to be a bit on the bland side. The spring rolls were fantastic, though! Service was friendly but quite slow. The ambiance is inviting, making it a nice spot to unwind despite the wait. Overall, a so-so experience, but I might return for the spring rolls alone! " Sadly, my experience at Saigon Star was not great. The food was slightly off, as the chicken had an unusual smell. I was concerned about food safety but didn't want to make a fuss. The waiter was attentive but seemed overwhelmed when the place got busy. I might skip this restaurant in the future unless I hear significant improvements. " (*Curated Review*)
