" A true culinary adventure! Tako Tako dishes up a fantastic array of authentic Central American food. The pupusas are among the best I’ve had. But, I had to wait over 40 minutes for my food, and during that time, the service left much to be desired; the staff seemed preoccupied. " My experience at Tako Tako was a mixed bag. The food was undeniably authentic—especially the homemade salsa that accompanied the pupusas. But the service left much to be desired. We arrived around dinner time and unfortunately had to wait what felt like forever. I couldn't help but feel a bit ignored. I could see them bustling around, but I guess they were just too overwhelmed. Once the food finally arrived, it was a treat! Everything tasted great. " I was thrilled to try Tako Tako after hearing the buzz about it. And let me tell you, their tacos are some of the best I've had on the East Coast. It reminded me of my time in Mexico - so deliciously authentic! I even chatted with some customers who spoke Spanish, which added to the authentic atmosphere. However, I was disappointed with the service. It took ages to get our orders taken and longer for food delivery. While I’d usually be flexible with wait times, that evening was particularly busy and chaotic. I'd like to come back but will call ahead next time because their food is truly worth it. " The food! Oh my goodness! You can really taste the authenticity in their dishes. I loved the variety. However, service was so slow. I was nearly finished with my drink before our food arrived. I would suggest they hire more staff or at least improve their management. It's such a shame because I would love to come back, but waiting for that long is just too disheartening—especially after a long day. If they can get their act together, this place will be amazing!
