" Finally made it to Anju after hearing all the hype, and it did not disappoint! From the moment we walked in, I was charmed by the aesthetic and friendly staff. We started with the mandu, which were delightful little pockets of taste, and must order! For mains, I tried the Korean fried chicken, which was crunchy perfection and had great seasoning. I also loved their take on bibimbap, which felt both traditional and innovative at the same time. The only tiny drawback was the wait since it was busy, but honestly, the experience was worth it. Anju is a fabulous addition to the DC dining scene. " (*Curated Review*)
" Anju was an experience to remember! From menu recommendations to the atmosphere, this place gets it right. I went for brunch and had the French toast that was sprinkled with a mix of flavors that is hard to describe but absolutely wonderful. The kalbi was also spot on, tender and juicy! They are known for their chicken, and after trying it, I can see why. Service was prompt, and although there might have been a wait for a table, it was worth every second! Anju is now on my radar for food spots in the area. " (*Curated Review*)
" I recently celebrated a birthday at Anju, and I can confidently say it was a fabulous venue choice! The staff arranged everything beautifully, and our table was decorated with thoughtful details. We ordered multiple dishes, including the Seafood Ramen and traditional Bibimbap, both of which were delightful. The flavors were fresh and vibrant. The servers were attentive, ensuring our drinks were always full and our needs met. Anju provides a lively atmosphere that enhances the dining experience. Ending the night with the mango sorbet was the cherry on top. Overall, this was a night to remember, and I plan on returning for more! " (*Curated Review*)
" The energy at Anju was fantastic! We got seated quickly and the servers were friendly. I tried the ddukbokgi, which was a delightful blend of spice and sweetness. The fried chicken was crunchy and flavorful, and I felt good about the generous portions for the price. I was hoping for a bit more complexity in the kimchi jjigae, but overall it was comforting. I appreciate that they embrace authentic recipes while giving them a modern twist. I look forward to my next visit. " (*Curated Review*)
" I was reluctant to try Anju initially, thinking it was overrated. However, I recently decided to give it a shot, and wow, did it exceed my expectations! The interior was stylish and inviting, and we were warmly greeted upon arrival. For our first course, we had the dumplings, which were stuffed generously and bursting with flavor. The mains we selected included the bibimbap and the spicy squid, both of which were executed beautifully. The bibimbap was filled with a plethora of ingredients that complemented each other well. The only downside was the slightly slow service, but our server was friendly, which made the wait bearable. I would recommend this restaurant if you’re looking for authentic Korean food! " While I enjoyed my visit to Anju, I felt the food could have been a notch better for the price. The dumplings were tasty, but I found some of the main dishes a bit on the salty side. I understand that Korean cuisine can be rich, but moderation is key. The ambiance is pleasant, and service was generally good, with friendly staff. I would still recommend it to anyone looking for a unique Korean dining experience. Just be prepared for some dishes to potentially be a bit heavy! " (*Curated Review*)
" After all the buzz surrounding Anju, I was eager to try it myself. I must say, I left utterly satisfied! The food was bursting with flavors and the presentation was top-notch. We sampled a variety of dishes, from the dumplings to the spicy ramyeon and everything was delicious! Our server was friendly and made great drink recommendations. I was pleasantly surprised at how reasonable the prices are, especially given the high quality. Anju has made it to my favorites list, and I plan to return soon! " (*Curated Review*)
