" While visiting Grand Junction, we stopped at Aztecas and overall, it was a wonderful experience! The service was timely, and you could tell the staff was genuinely pleased to serve us. I had the veggie quesadilla, which was stuffed generously and very satisfying. I did feel the atmosphere could use a bit more character, but the quality of food more than made up for it. " I have been to a lot of Mexican restaurants, and I thought Aztecas was just okay. The food was decent but, nothing remarkable. I liked the freshness of the ingredients, and the portions were generous, but the flavoring was kind of mild overall, which was surprising for a Mexican spot. " It was a Saturday night and it was busy, so I expected a wait. Overall, it was pretty quick and we were seated shortly. I found that the storm being outside gave it a cozy feel. My food was tasty; I ordered the chicken crema and it didn't disappoint. It was creamy with just the right spices.
