" Hai San Restaurant was a pleasant surprise during a recent visit to the area. I ordered the egg drop soup and sweet and sour chicken. The flavors were delightful, and the soup was fresh. The chicken was slightly too sweet for my taste, but still enjoyable. I think the service was very friendly and attentive, and they offered my daughter complimentary crackers which was a nice touch! The pancakes were soft and did a great job wrapping up the flavor-packed pork and vegetables. Who knew such a small place could deliver such big flavors? " I'm someone who is very particular about Chinese food, especially since I've traveled extensively in China. While I found some of the flavors at Hai San familiar, there were a few dishes that tasted overly Americanized. However, their spare ribs were phenomenal! They were cooked perfectly, and the sauce had an authentic taste, unlike other places I’ve tried in the area. Portion sizes were generous too!
