" I was really looking forward to a pleasant lunch at La Casa de La Tlayuda, and while the ambiance and drinks were great, the food was only okay. The tlayudas were good but did not stand out in flavor as I had anticipated. I still enjoyed the atmosphere and service, which was quite friendly. I might try again, as it could have just been an off-day for this establishment. " (*Curated Review*)
" A personal favorite! I always recommend La Casa de La Tlayuda to friends visiting Tijuana. The food quality is consistently great, and the staff is always warm and welcoming. I often go for their craft cocktails, which complement the Oaxacan food beautifully. Their tlayudas are top-notch and make it a worthy experience when dining here! Always looking forward to my next visit. " (*Curated Review*)
" I had a fantastic time at La Casa de La Tlayuda. The service was impeccably friendly, and the atmosphere was vibrant and inviting. I ordered the octopus tacos and a couple of craft beers. Both were delicious and made with high-quality ingredients. The tacos had that fresh, authentic taste that reminded me of my last trip to Oaxaca! The only downside was that it was a little pricey for the portion size, but the flavors definitely made up for it. " (*Curated Review*)
" My recent visit left me quite satisfied with both the ambience and the food quality. I had the chance to sample the crispy cricket tacos and was pleasantly surprised by how flavorful they were. They give you a real insight into the region’s culinary heritage. Service was okay, though it could use a bit more polish. Still, I’d say it was worthwhile to experience the authentic dishes, and I would recommend it as a great place to explore Oaxacan cuisine. " (*Curated Review*)
" Unfortunately, my visit did not entirely live up to my expectations. While the food was decent and I appreciated the traditional Oaxacan selections, I felt that La Casa de La Tlayuda had room for improvement. The atmosphere was nice, but the service left a bit to be desired as it was quite slow, and my table was overlooked for some time. I may give it another chance in the future, but my experience this time wasn’t stellar. " (*Curated Review*)
" I must admit I had high expectations, and while some aspects met them, others did not. I absolutely loved the tlayuda and the flavorful mole. However, when it came to the service, I encountered a wait that was longer than expected. I would recommend their drinks, specifically the mezcal cocktails, which were a highlight of the evening. Overall, a solid choice for anyone craving authentic flavors, with some improvements needed on the service end. " (*Curated Review*)
" La Casa de La Tlayuda is a gem in Tijuana! From the moment you step in, the decorations and ambiance whisk you away to Southern Mexico. On top of that, I enjoyed the Tlayuda with tasajo, and it was simply delicious. The handmade tortillas added an incredible texture to the meal that I haven’t tasted elsewhere. The only downside was the slower service; my drink took a while to arrive, but once the food came, all was forgiven. Highly recommend this place for anyone wanting an authentic dining experience!
