" As a lover of Afghan cuisine, I have been coming to Bakhter for years. The lamb kabobs are always my favorite, juicy and always packed with spices. Unfortunately, my latest visit wasn't up to the standard I've come to expect—the meat was chewy and the flavor just missed the mark for me. The folks serving are still friendly and accommodating. The cleanliness of the restaurant was appalling—the bathrooms were dingy and the tables looked like they hadn't been wiped down in ages. Our food took forever to arrive, and when it finally did, it was cold and the flavors were completely off. I can't believe this place used to be great; it feels like it's lost its authentic touch.
